Engineering Services
Integration success is highly dependent on the quality of the engineering process. Syncom’s process begins with a physical assessment of the customer’s job site to determine requirements for power, earthing, cable runs, rack locations and other key factors necessary for a high-quality installation. The final engineering package presented to customers can include: installation instructions, site layout drawings, test results and Health & Safety information such as Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
Installation Services
Syncom employs experienced installers to meet our customer’s needs. All of our installation teams receive training on applicable technologies and are equipped with job-specific tools and test equipment. With many years experience in the installation business, Syncom Telecom UK ensures that when its installers arrive on site, the instructions, procedures, drawings and materials are ready for successful completion of the project. On-site activities can include; installation of steelwork, racks, power systems, co-axial and fibre cable. Additionally, Syncom Telecom UK is an approved designer and installer for a number of structured cabling solutions. Following project completion, Syncom Telecom UK installation supervisors and/or quality auditors conduct final inspections of their sites, adhering to customer and industry specific requirements as well as Syncom’s ISO processes.
Material Services
On-time project completion is highly dependent on material availability and handling. Syncom Telecom UK offers responsive strategies for customer-driven materials management, national and international distribution and logistics. Our portfolio of material management services includes: purchasing based on a detailed bill of material; secure control of customer-provided equipment; staging and packaging of required items for shipment to the job site or local staging warehouse; and co-ordination of all hauling and hoisting of equipment to the job site. Syncom Telecom UK also maintains stock of all commonly used installation materials.
Program/Project Management
Project success ultimately hinges on selecting a single-source provider that can manage and complete each project on schedule and within budget. Professional project management is a corner-stone of Syncom’s success. Syncom Telecom UK has an established program management organisation that is experienced in both large-scale implementations and bespoke project solutions. Syncom Telecom UK project managers are Prince2 accredited.
Commissioning and Integration Services
As part of Syncom’s integration services, we provide commissioning and integration support for installed equipment in the network. This ranges from core network equipment eg DWDM, SDH and PDH to testing of transmission paths, DSL and IP/MPLS services and CPE/routers on customer sites. Recognising the importance in today’s competitive market to deliver capacity and begin realising revenues as quickly as possible, Syncom’s commissioning and integration services ensures rapid deployment of network elements into service.
